The workshop aims to foster interactions between researchers and patient/public participants. We thus invite both researchers and patient/public partners* to present their latest and on-going work through short oral presentations and/or posters. We equally welcome the submission of project designs for studies that have not yet been started. Participants will be asked not to photograph or record any of the presentations/posters, so that unpublished data can safely be presented.
*Patients, caregivers/relatives or public representatives that have previously been or are currently involved in research projects applying PPI.
At the time of submission, authors may choose between oral/poster presentation or poster presentation only. Selected abstracts will be given the chance to present their work in 7 min oral presentations during breakout sessions. To identify breakout session themes best fitted to abstract topics, presenters are asked to select up to 3 keywords. The submission of more than one abstract per persenter is permitted.
Note: a prize will be awarded to the best poster at the end of the workshop! Ranking criteria will include approach/strategy, application of principles, overall research novelty, poster design, as well as presentation pitch. A co-presentation between researcher and patient partner is mandatory to qualify for the poster prize.
