Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society of Neonatology

University Children's Hospital, (UKBB), Basel

12.01.2016 08:00 - 18:00

Program

Developmental aspects of neonatal lung disease

We are very pleased to announce that Prof. Bela Suki (Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University, USA) has accepted our invitation to speak at our meeting. Prof. Suki is an internationally renowned expert in lung physiology, and his research interests include developing advanced concepts of mechanical ventilation and the ensemble behavior of complex biological systems. We look forward to hear Prof. Suki speak about recent neonatal research on variable ventilation in an animal model of respiratory distress. In a second talk, we will hear his view on the major transitions in life from a network perspective.

The first hour of the scientific program will be devoted to six short presentations. This part of the meeting is ideally suited for (but not limited to) research projects of young Swiss paediatricians and neonatal fellows. A poster session will be accessible throughout the day, and an organized poster walk will occur during lunchtime.
