Breakthroughs in imaging technologies have been a driving force for new discoveries in biology. Indeed, the ability to visualize events occurring in the living organism is essential for understanding biomedical processes. Today, in vivo imaging provides crucial observations of cell dynamics, and allows for assessment and manipulation of cells at the molecular level. It is also possible to combine different imaging modalities to analyze life at different resolutions and scales.
To advance knowledge and networking in this area, this one-day workshop will explore intravital microscopy, light-triggered functional interventions, macroscopic imaging techniques (e.g. PET-CT, MRI), and new tools for visualization, targeting, labeling and manipulation of cells in vivo. We will also discuss the combination of imaging modalities, and image analysis and the use of AI in this area. We will mostly focus on the application of these techniques to cancer research.

Dear colleagues and friends,
We are delighted to welcome you all to the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society of Neonatology in Aarau. This year’s edition is created around topics that were selected by our members, based on a survey conducted to strengthen the impact of all members on proceedings and meetings of The Society.
As you can see from the program, the main sessions are all related to real-world, practical questions in education of future neonatologists and management of cardiovascular problems frequently occurring in clinical care. These topics are not only relevant to neonatologists, paediatricians, nursing staff and allied health care specialists working in the intensive care setting, but also to many colleagues from intermediate and special care units.
We do hope you will enjoy the meeting and we would like to encourage you to contribute to the lively discussions and networking opportunities at the congress. We would also be very happy if you would leave us some feedback and help us with suggestions and topics for upcoming meetings, in order to provide The Society with the best possible meeting, addressing areas of current interest that are relevant to its members.

Spatial resolved transcriptomics and multiplexing of antibodies aim to detect mRNAs or/and proteins of a single cell in the context of tissue environment. This spatial context is crucial for understanding key mechanisms in cell biology, neurobiology or tumor biology like cell-cell interactions. Many technologies based on different methods (microdissection, in situ hybridization, in situ sequencing, in situ capturing and cyclic immunodetection) have been developed to fulfill this need. Many of those procedures are still under development, difficult to implement in a lab or come with high investment.
This workshop is a great opportunity to advance your knowledge about the existing technologies, your network and discuss with the industry.

Dear Colleagues, dear Friends
It is with great pleasure that I invite you, on behalf of the Swiss Transplantation Society, to join us at the 20th Annual Congress on January 26 and 27, 2023 at the Congress Hotel Seepark, in Thun.
For this annual meeting, our scientific committee, chaired by Patrizia Amico and assisted by Aurelia Schnyder, has prepared a very attractive program, covering very timely topics and relevant issues, both for transplant patients and for transplant specialists.
On Thursday, after the traditional and always very informative reports of Swiss Transplant and the STCS, our program will start with a keynote lecture on equity in accessibility to transplantation. This will be followed by an update on the strategies regarding CMV issues in solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. You don't want then to miss our also now traditional coordinators' corner, and very important, please come to cheer our young colleagues who will present, during the STS award competition session, the 6 best papers published in 2022 as selected by our scientific committee. The prizes will be awarded the same evening during our networking dinner.
The Friday programs will start with an interesting patient's perspective on organ living donation. Immunosuppression in young versus elder recipients, management of cancer after transplantation, and the role of the microbiome in transplantation will then be the topics presented during the day.
Our program will end up with the ceremony of the STS Excellence and Innovation awards 2022, and a final session on the challenges the various organ specialists are currently facing in transplantation.
I would like now to thank our sponsors for their very essential participation and of course our colleagues at meeting.com for their faithful, efficient and friendly support.
The Board of our Society, the Scientific Committee and myself are very much looking forward to seeing you soon in Thun and wish you all a very pleasant and fruitful congress.
